TNA Impact Recap 4/12/10 - Final Show Before Lockdown

This week on Impact - The Band battle Team 3D in tag team action, Velvet Sky takes on Angelina Love in a Leather and Lace Match. Pope D'Angelo and Black Machismo Jay Lethal battle it out with Desmond Wolfe and TNA Champion AJ Styles.

Jeff Jarrett makes his way to the ring and basically says he's not waiting for Lockdown he's going to get his answers from Sting tonight. Jarrett goes up to the rafters looking for Sting and finds him and the two brawl with Jarrett eventually kicking Sting down the rafters. Jarrett and Sting brawl to the ring and Jarrett brings Sting to his knees and then the lights go out and come back on and all of the sudden Sting has a baseball bat and beats up Jeff Jarrett until the rest of Team Hogan runs out for the save.

We go backstage to Jeremy Borash who is with the rest of Team Flair. Flair says that Team Flair is TNA and he is going to end Hulkamania at Lockdown. Wow someone out to end Hulkamania never seen that before. Roode says that he knows that Jeff Hardy likes to fly around the ring like a birdie but tonight he's going to be grounded. Storm chimes in with the catchphrase. SORRY ABOUT YOUR DAMN LUCK. Desmond Wolfe says that tonight he is going to tame the Animal and then he's going to maim the Animal referring to Abyss. AJ says that at Lockdown he's going to beat the piss out of the Pope and there's only two things he can do about it and that's Nothing and Like It. Wow a Fabulous Freebirds reference from AJ Styles.

Brother Ray gets the microphone and calls the Band pieces of crap and calls Sean Waltman X Pac could that be a lawsuit and says that tonight's match is now a 6 man tag team NYC Street Fight. That's actually kind of awesome.

Match 1

The Band - Kevin Nash Scott Hall and Sean Waltman beat Team 3D and Jesse Neal in a NYC Street Fight which was a fun match when Bubba the Love Sponge interfered distracting Brother Ray and Waltman hitting the X Factor on Brother Ray. After the Match Eric Young came out and says that he wants Nash at Lockdown this Sunday.

Match 2

Kazarian vs Shannon Moore went to a 10 minute time limit draw in a pretty good match I think it would've been better with about 5 more minutes. After the match Kaz and Moore shake hands and then Doug Williams gets the microphone and runs them down and Kaz and Moore chase him out of the Impact Zone.

We go backstage to Jeremy Borash who is with Velvet Sky. Sky says that tonight's leather and lace match won't be for the Knockouts Title because that title will be on the line at Lockdown when The Beautiful People face off with Angelina Love and Tara. Borash points out that the Knockouts Tag Titles will also be on the line and if Tara or Angelina beats one of them. Sky cuts him off and says that's not going to happen and tonight we are going to see who the true beauty is.

We go to Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff. Hogan questions Bischoff about his recent actions and asks him what's going on with Flair. Bischoff says that Team Hogan is getting their asses kicked and he's trying to earn Flair's trust. Bischoff basically says Hulk you've known me for 15 years would I ever do anything wrong. Jesus Christ it's very obvious that Bischoff is fucking swerving Hogan and making him look like a bigger ass then he already is. Black Machismo comes in and says that he and Hogan should take on the Band. REALLY Jay Really.

We go backstage to Jeremy Borash who is with Angelina Love. Love calls the match tonight a Joke and says that she's in TNA to wrestle not prance around like a lady of the night. Love says she's here to be the best and the segment is broken up by Tara and the two have a very awkward staredown.

Match 3

Velvet Sky vs Angelina Love turned in to an I Quit Match with Angelina handcuffed and ended up a no contest when the rest of TBP came out and then Tara made the save.

We go outside to Christy Hemme who tells us that car sped off and we see Abyss laying in the parking lot. Wait what the fuck a car sped off but we didn't see what happened to Abyss that doesn't make any fucking sense.

We go outside to Christy Hemme who confirms that someone has indeed ran over Abyss does this put Lockdown in Jeopardy. Probably not considering this show was taped over a week ago.

Match 4

Matt Morgan and Amazing Red beat The Motor City Machine Guns in a pretty good match when Suicide pinned Sabin with the Code Red as Morgan was going for the Hellevator on Shelley. After the match Morgan attacked Red.

Match 5

Jeff Hardy pinned Robert Roode with the Swanton in a decent 7 minute match. After the Match James Storm attacks Jeff Hardy but RVD makes the save but not before Storm pays homage to the Original Sheik by throwing fire in the face Hardy. It should be noted that Mike Tenay announced at the start of the match that at Lockdown at the start of the show it will be RVD vs James Storm to find out which team gets the man advantage in Lethal Lockdown. While that should be a decent match to open the show shouldn't that have been what happened last week.

We go backstage to Jeremy Borash who is with Pope D'Angelo Dinero. Jay Lethal comes in and calls Pope Reverend Slick and says that Pope needs a partner and says tonight their going to take out Wolfe and AJ.

We come back to find Beer Money beating down Lethal so no tag match but Hogan gets even by knocking out Desmond Wolfe with a chair so now we have Pope vs AJ .

Main Event

Pope D'Angelo Dinero beat AJ Styles in about 4 minutes by DQ when Ric Flair came out and then Beer Money came in and they all beat down AJ. Show fades to black with Hogan staring at the ring and looking concerned.

An alright show this week some good matches and some build for Lockdown. I wish they would've hyped the whole card for the PPV though instead of hyping 3 matches and then having a 10 minute Angle/Anderson package.
