The hatred between them is recorded in the all-time annals of MMA history: 'The Huntington Beach Bad Boy' Tito Ortiz and 'The Iceman' Chuck Liddell just don't like each other, and twice they've had to settle the war of words inside the Octagon - twice Liddell emerging the victor. Now it's time for these opponents to settle their score in a whole new way - proving which one can coach their respective team to victory and crown the next Ultimate Fighter. That's right, the groundbreaking reality series returns tonight on SpikeTV for season 11, and we'll be recapping the ninth episode. When the recap starts hit F5 or refresh as often as you like for the latest updates!

While you wait check out this UFC Primetime Episodes 1 + 2 Recap building up UFC 114. Meanwhile on UFC Unleashed we're closing the show with Lyoto Machida vs. Tito Ortiz from when I was in Las Vegas for UFC 84 two years ago. That's a happy coincidence since we'll be talking about this year's Vegas trip as well as events from the prior two years on Wednesday Night AMP at midnight EST, 11 PM Central tonight with the likes of Ed in San Antonio, GG, Lady J and Jr. Horseman! Join us in the AngryMarks chatroom for all the fun.

PREVIOUSLY, on The Ultimate Fighter - Kyle Noke became the first quarterfinalist with a victory over Clayton McKinney, Brad and Seth each prevailed in hard hitting three round decisions, and Kris McCray won the Wildcard Fight defeating Kyacey Uscola to get back in. Tonight McCray faces Noke and Brad faces Seth, plus the most shocking turn of events ever in TUF history on a new episode to see who will be the next... Ultimate Fighter.

We're starting right away with WEIGH-INS. McCray and Noke both make 185 even. Dana White: "One of the things these guys need to learn early, there are no friends in the UFC." Ortiz: "They know what each other has. Noke has all the positive reinforcement he needs, but Kris is still a young guy coming up. Can he take it? We'll see. It all depends on who has the biggest heart."

Next day at the gym Tito tells his team that he has numbness in his legs and arms, headaches every day, and that he's going to have to go to get surgery. "I've been through one surgery before, and if it happens again it happens again. If I fight hurt I'm gonna make it worse, and I'm not gonna let Chuck win because I wasn't 100%. No possible way. No way. I'll find out in the next couple of weeks if I'm able to fight. I put it in God's hands right now." And just like that it's FIGHT DAY! Kris and Kyle both talk about how awkward this is for them. Both men head to the Octagon before we go to a commercial break.

* Kyle Noke vs. Kris McCray

Time for round one! Dana explains the rules yet again, and our referee in charge is Steve Mazzagatti so BRING IT ON, C'MON. 30 seconds in and the fight is on the ground and one minute in it's back to the feet with neither man seeming to gain much advantage. When it goes down again it's the result of a throw by McCray, but he can't keep Noke down for long as he's back up at the halway point, and when McCray goes for another takedown he nearly sinks in a guillotine choke. They scramble and end up against the fence with McCray going for a single leg. Noke takes his back and goes for a kimura but can't get it, and McCray rolls and winds up on top in Noke's guard. 1 minute to go. Liddell's team complains repeatedly that he's just resting there. Noke fires some elbows from the bottom. Dana: "He's done more damage from the bottom than Kris has from the top, by far." R1 ends and we go to break.

Chuck and Tito are both giving their men advice as we come back for R2. The two tap gloves and assume a striking stance and it's McCray who throws the first shot and attempts the fires takedown. 30 seconds in McCray picks up Noke and SLAMS him down. They're in the fence with Tito screaming to pull him off it, which he does with a suplex from his back. McCray tries to take side control and Noke seems stuck and unable to do anything as he rolls to his side. Ortiz is very pleased, screaming SMASH HIM SMASH HIM SMASH HIM and GOOD JOB KRIS! Even if round one could have gone either way, R2 has been all Kris for the first half and Noke has shown almost nothing. He finally gets back to his feet with 2:20 left and tries to takedown McCray into a RNC but he crawls backward through Noke's legs to avoid it. Noke keeps going for it though but he looks pretty gassed, I don't know if he can keep Kris grounded long enough to get it. One minute. Sure enough Kris sweeps and is on top again in guard, hitting Noke with fists and elbows. Ortiz is screaming PUNISH HIM. Liddell yells HE'S JUST LAYING THERE. Ortiz says SHUT UP CHUCK! McCray does finish with strikes at the end of the round, so he should probably get a unanimous decision here. Dana thinks it's over too and tells the Octagon Girl so. JUDGES DECLARE A DRAW SO WE GO TO R3. Dana: "My bad, I was wrong!" Send her in and send us to commercial.

Ortiz goes back in the ring to pump up McCray. Noke's corner tells him not to give McCray any takedowns because that's what he's looking for. Sure enough 15 seconds in he's shooting for a single leg on the fence. Chuck says to widen your stance so he can't secure the takedown... that doesn't work - McCray gets it. Ortiz calls for SMASH ELBOWS. McCray does his best to oblige. Noke tries to roll to avoid damage or escape. Liddell is audibly complaining again. "Make him work! He's just laying in side control. C'mon, he's not gonna pass anyway!" Well whatever McCray isn't doing, Noke is doing even less of it, so McCray is winning this round. Considering it's already 10:37 EST if we're really getting two fights tonight the second one's got to be really short. 120 seconds left to go and Noke is still on the ground eating elbows to the face and body shots. Noke pushes him back to guard and tries to grab an armbar but McCray slips right out of it like a greased pig. Mazzagatti stands them up with one minute left. Noke tries a flying knee hoping to catch McCray when he shoots but it doesn't work. 30 seconds. Noke hangs on for all he's worth to avoid another takedown so McCray just fires knees at his legs until the horn. ALL THREE JUDGES SCORE THE ROUND 10-9 FOR THE WINNER KRIS MCCRAY. We waste almost no time on the post-fight interviews before the next two fighters have their weigh-ins, coaches make their final comments, and we go to another commercial break.

Stay tuned after Ultimate Fighter for UFC Primetime Episode 3. You can read the UFC Primetime Episodes 1 + 2 Recap during commercial breaks if you missed them to get caught up. Before the Seth vs. Brad fight we see Chuck Liddell at the house and he's cursing up a storm. "If I gotta put up with Tito for six weeks he'd better let me fight him. If he pulls this (bullshit) I'll come to his (fucking) house and fight him. He's a jackass. Well, whatever." Brad says he hates to do what he has to because he likes Seth, and he might be the youngest and least experienced, but he doesn't mind fighting old men. Seth says a fight's a fight regardless of age or experience - it's just you and him. Here we go!

* Seth Baczynski vs. Brad Tavares

Seth and Brad exchange dap in the Octagon, we get the Tale of the Tape, and Dana (yet AGAIN) reminds us of the rules. Herb Dean is our ref, so LET'S DO IT. Brad throws the first leg kick. Seth charges forward with strikes and goes for a single leg. Seth works and works for the leg trip and finally takes Brad down 45 seconds in. Moments later Seth takes his back and Brad looks like he's in big trouble! Seth starts landing heavy lefts and rights to the head, Brad is turtling, and suddenly he tries to stand up with Seth on his back. Seth's stuck to him like glue though - Brad just can't shake him off. 2:50 to go. Herb Dean warns Seth not to grab the fence and if he does it again he'll lose position. Brad gets to one knee at 2:15 but still can't shake Seth off, but to his credit he's trying like hell. Tavares finally shakes out with 90 seconds left and Seth starts throwing NASTY upkicks. Brad survives it but ends up in a leg triangle. Brad stands up and POWERBOMBS Seth twice and luckily for him he gets out instead of Seth sinking it in deeper. 20 seconds. There is a WILD scramble at the end of the round and SHIT GOES CRAZY. Summary - 10 seconds to go Brad is trying to finish the fight with hammerfists while sitting on Seth's right side. 5 seconds to go Seth pushes off the fence with his feet to get free. Seth stands up, Brad is flailing wildly with lefts and rights, he tries to throw some sort of knee and slips, as he's down in the three point stance Seth (intentionally or otherwise) throws A KNEE TO THE HEAD A SPLIT SECOND BEFORE THE HORN. Tavares is out cold. He has no idea what happened to him. We go to commercial with no idea WTF will happen - but in all likelihood Seth should be disqualified.

Brad's a mess. He doesn't even know what he got hit with and can barely figure out who his coach is. It takes him 30 seconds to say COACH.. COACH JOHN. To no one's surprise HERB DEAN WAVES OFF ROUND TWO. Dana: "He drops right to the canvas, arms under his face like he's out." Seth: "I immediately said I'm sorry. Brad says - for what?" Seth tells us he was more worries about Brad's health. The coaches argue between each other and it turns into a war of words and calling each other names. TITO THROWS A WATER BOTTLE WHEN HERB DEAN ANNOUNCES A DQ WIN FOR BRAD, TITO WALKS AT ONE OF CHUCK'S COACHES, AND WE HAVE A GANGLAND STYLE CONFRONTATION BETWEEN BOTH TEAMS. Chuck: "I'll soccer kick him in the face and tell him to continue and see if he can go after!"

Dana pulls Chuck into a quiet office in the back room. "I've been waiting to tell you, now is as good better time than any, Tito pulled out of the fight." Chuck immediately stands up like he's going to throw his phone at the wall. Dana: "Don't break your phone!" Chuck: "I'm gonna go punch him!" THE EPISODE IMMEDIATELY ENDS. Preview of next week rolls. "He's a (pussy). Are you (fucking) serious?" Dana: "Yeah I'm serious!" Yager and Bryant ENDS IN ANARCHY next week, and the semi-final announcements are made for on the next... Ultimate Fighter.

And now... UFC PRIMETIME. We get highlights from Episodes 1 + 2 to open the show. James Brown plays in the background. "Obligations beckon, both in and outside of the gym. Today begins with a media call for both fighters." Rampage is asked if he's fought anybody he dislikes much as Rashad. "Never!" Verbal sparring ensues when Rampage says Rashad's never done nothing or been nothing. Rashad says he was world champ. Rampage: "WHERE'S YO' BELT NOW?" Rashad: "WHERE'S YOURS?" Dana is sitting next to Rampage laughing as the two talk shit at each other with every question that's asked. "Why you act all cocky and all fake and be playing with your nipples?" Rashad: "You a clown dude." Dana: "Next question!" Rampage: "This is the first time I'm actually gonna ENJOY beating the hell out of someone, y'knahmsayin?" We go to Rampage working out in the gym and his coaches putting him over as stronger and faster than ever, and then to a commercial break promoting the UFC 114 prelims on Saturday night.

Muay thai Phil Nurse is at the Grudge Training Center to help Rashad get ready for the fight. Rashad is on his knees dodging punches. "If he can keep up with my speed, I know we're in the game." Jonathan Chaimberg is also there to make sure Rashad's strength and conditioning is up to par. "Rampage will have to ask himself. Did he put in the hours? Did he take it seriously enough? If your work is not done right now you might as well go home because you can't make it up the final week of camp. Rashad's going to be a monster on May 29th." Next we go to Rashad's apartment where he takes a TWENTY MINUTE ICE BATH. Rashad's partner in the endeavor makes jokes about how Rampage could never handle it. "He takes an ice bath, Rampage hits the buffet!" Rashad's training sessions are getting shorter but more intense as the fight comes close. Trevor Wittman: "He's at a 10 right now. Rampage could be pushing buses and I wouldn't be scared." Rashad: "I'm making sure that I'm not gonna get tired." Wittman: "We understand how to give him endurance, explosiveness, fitness. I see Rampage on Primetime and (it's a joke). He's working out like we did ten years ago!" Rashad: "Only a couple more days now. Tick tock baby tick tock! I'm coming to destroy you!" Commercial.

Rampage is playing with his four kids at the pool when we come back, and notes that it's very nice and very relaxing to have some quality time with his family. "This remind me of what I'm fighting for. This the main reason I fight, to give them the best quality of life they can possibly have. It's the ultimate sense of pride, being able to provide for your kids. They love me unconditionally no matter what. Whether I fail or succeed, they're still my kids." The narrator reminds us Rampage began this journey 13 weeks ago. Now he's 30 pounds lighter and in the best shape of his entire career. Mike Dolce: "He was 251, now he's 221 ripped pounds of anger. On the 29th you're going to see the very best Rampage the world has ever seen. What Rashad did was unleash the beast. He's turned it up to a level I didn't even know he had." Commercial.

It's time for Rashad Evan's last team supper at Trevor Wittman's house. Wittman gives him a framed picture he drew in pencil of himself showing how confidant and ready Evans is. I've got to be honest - it's pretty damn good. Hella better than anything I could draw. Rashad is stoked and overwhelmed with pleasure. "What makes our team better than any other team is how down we are for each other. We got a job to do May 29th, and we're not gonna let the event be bigger than us."

We cut back to Jackson. "Five to ten minutes before I go out there, Rampage take over. This is a sport, but he's made it so personal. I don't know if I'm gonna be able to not lose my temper out there. His gameplan will go out the window when I put these fists on him. Your mouth done wrote checks your ass can't cash. May 29th, you done!" Rashad: "I know how it will feel when I hear the entrance music, when I feel the canvas under my feet. I work best under pressure. This is where I thrive - under pressure. We're gonna find out who's real and who's fake and who can back up what they say. He talks a big game but he looks for a way out, and I'm gonna help him find that way out. I'm gonna make him quit." The epic classical music takes things up to new heights as we get one last shot of both men training, hitting the bags, fans at ringside pounding the barricades, both fighters getting daps in their entrance walks from previous fights, sweat dripping off their faces as they train, the Octagon girl holding up the card one last time, and then it all fades to black. That's it! We'll see you on Saturday night!
