Kenny King & Rhett Titus vs. Cheech & Cloudy As Cheech & Cloudy are being introduced, El Generico hits the ring, fired up and pissed off, demanding his match against Kevin Steen NOW! Steen's advisor, Steve Corino, comes out and calls Generico a retard and says he doesn't call the shots. "There's no way in hell Kevin Steen would wrestle the opening bout, because he's all about the main event!" Generico again calls for Steen, Corino tells him it isn't going to happen. Steen rushes out and gets right in Generico's face, forehead-to-forehead. COrino begs Steen to back off. Steen grabs the mic, tells him it's fine, "THIS! ENDS! NOW!" Kevin Steen (w/ Steve Corino) vs. El Generico Both men start swinging away throwing haymakers! Steen is thrown out of the ring, Generico follows up with a dive on Steen on the outside,throws him in the corner of the ring barriers, lays in chops, whips him into the ringpost and back into the barriers again. Generic pulls Steen up, rolls him back into the ring. Generico starts to climb the buckles, Steen goes to cut him off, Generico blocks him with a shoulder block, climbs up for a cross-body block, goes for the pinfall but cuts him off, mounts him for some ground 'n pound instead. Steen gets to his feet, hard forearm shot, and Generico diswhes out three in return. Both men start chopping each other, Generico with the upper-hand, puts Steen in the corner, punches him down, then stomps a mudhole in his chest. Steen gets back up and chops Genericho in the chest, whips him off the ropes, Generico counters with a dropkick to the chest. Steen rolls out to the apron, Generico comes over to pick him up, Steen grabs Generico and chokes him over the rope, steps back in the ring and Generico pops off with another dropkick, and the fans start with the "OLE!" chants. El Generico with an armbar, goes for a maneuver off the corner, Steen drags him down and turns it into a backbreaker, Steen follows up with a BIG senton on El Generico. Steen takes his time gloating around the ring before stepping over El Generico and gouging his eyes while he's down. Steen pulls up Generico, talks some smack, El Generico fires off with puches, Steen fires back then takes El Generico down with a strong headbutt. Steen again takes his time to aggrivate the fans, puts Generico in the corner, his head on the bottom turnbuckle, and steps on the head until the referee breaks. Fans start a "FUCK YOU, STEEN!" chant. Generico makes it back to his feet, fires off forearm shivers, Steen gives them back and Generico collapses back into the corner. Geen grinds his knee into Generico's face, then backs up and fires with a knee driven right in the skull. Steen's so impressed with himself he falls to the mat, rolling around while laughing. Fans again with the "OLE!" chant, Steen acts like he doesn't even hear them. As Generico struggles to his feet again to fight, Steen takes him back down with a forearm shot. Generico again struggles up, Steen takes him down with a chop. Generico sits up trying to shake it off, Steen patiently waits for him and eats a few punches. Steen fires back, but Generico has a second wind, gets the upper-hand with punches, then takes Steen down with a pair of clothesline, whip off the ropes, Generico ducks down, Steen hits kicks him in the midsection, Generico fires back with a clothesline. Steen tries to take him down with a spear, Generico turns it into a body slam, cover, gets a two count. Generico has a wristlock on Steen, tries to fly to the top turnbuckle, Steen knocks him off and racks him on the top rope. Steen takes it to the apron, tries for a piledriver, Generico flips him over into a backdrop on the edge of the apron. Generico crawls off for an escape to recover, Steen shaking it off. Generico dives THROUGH the bottom two ropes, across the corner of the ringpost and spears Steen on the other side! Fans chanting "O-LE! O-LE! O-LE!" as Generico rolls him in. Generico goes back to the top turnbuckles, flies with a Splash, connect! Cover, one... two... kickout by Steen! Generico is wiggling his fingers, trying to get some feeling back in his hands. Generico gets to his feet first, picks up Steen, goes for a DDT, Steen reverses it into the small package piledriver, covers, only gets a two count. Steen goes for a Sharpshooter, Generico punches his way out, tries for a high-flying move, Steen catches him mid-air and converts it into a powerbomb, covers, can only get a two count. Fans again start the "OLE! OLE OLE OLE!" chants, now Steen is looking bothered. Steen picks up Generico, talks smack and slaps Generico. Generico pulls himself up and returns the slap. Generico begs Steen to do it again, Steen slaps him, Generico slaps back and Steen beats him down with clubbing forearms, bounces off the ropes, Generico kicks to the face, Steen counters with a kick, rushes Generico in the corner with a clothesline, goes back for another, Gneerico rushes him and catches him with a boot to the face in the opposite corner. Generico rushes back for another and Steen follows, catching him with a clothesline on the other side! Both men go down, exhausted! Steen gets to his feet first, climbs to the top turnbuckle for a moonsault, he flies, Generico moves, nobody home! Generico ties him up in a Sharpshooter, flips him over and sinks it in! Generico using his arms to crawl to the ropes, is inches away and grabs it. Generico can't believe it. Steen using the ropes to pull himself up, Generico comes over, grabs him in a front face lock, tries for a suplex, Steen escapes, Steen goes for the packaged piledriver, Generico escapes, go-behind, Steen elbows him in the face, bounces off the ropes, Generico catches him with a kick to the face, sets up another move, but Steen quickly flips it around into the packaged powerbomb, cover, Generico kicks out! Fans now chanting "THIS IS AWE-SOME!" as Steen thinks about his next move. Steen finally decides to go to the top turnbuckle, takes his time, rests for a moment, finishes going up, flies with a senton, but Generico gets the knees up to block it! Steen crawls off to the corner, Generico hits the Yakuza kick in the corner, whips him to the opposite corner, hits a second one. Generico sets up Steen for a Brainbuster from the top turnbuckle, referee trie sto break it up, Steen bites Generico's hand, then reaches behind him and grabs a turnbuckle wrench that's hanging off a strap in the corner, uses it to blast El Generico in the head! The referee couldn't see it because of his position. Steen puts Generico in a headlock and finishes with a Gordbuster from the topturnbuckle, covers, and gets the pin. WINNER: Kevin Steen. The All Night Express (Kenny King & Rhett Titus) vs. Up In Smoke (Cheech & Cloudy) My iPPV internet feed goes down, I come back to see Cheech tagging in and whipping Kenny King around into the corners a few times, tries for a monkey flip, King catches Cheech, tries to throw him down, Cheech turns it around, dropkicks King in the face, Cloudy tags in and hits a kneedriver to the face, CHeech uses the ropes to swing in and kick King in the face, gets back in, covers King, two count. Cheechop whips King back into the corner, spears him, follows up with a Fisherman's Suplex, cover, two count. Cheech with a drop toe hold on King, Cheech & Cloudy go for a double-team move, but Titus trips Cloudy and pulls him out of the ring, King recovers and takes out Cheech. Titus & King get in and double team Cheech with double-teams, cover by King, two count. Titus tags in, sets Cheech on his shoulders, looking for King to sleap in with a move, but Cloudy grabs Kin's leg and pulls him down, King kicks him off, recovers, Titus sets Cheech up on his shoulders again, King slingshots himself in and kicks Cheech in the face, cover and a two count. King with a go-behind on Cheech, Cheech elbows his way out, gets a tag from Cloudy, Cloudy leaps in and catches King with a swinging DDT, cover, two count. Titus rushes in, gets double teamed by Up In Smoke with elbows and kicks. Titus trips and lands on the middle rope, and gets hit with "Partly Cloudy with a Chance of CHeech". They et up for another double-team move, King runs in and takes them both out. King hits Cloudy with a backbreaker, holds him over the knee as Titus hits the guillotine legdrop from the top turnbuckle, covers and that's it. WINNERS: The All Nighters. After the match King takes the mic and tells the fans they've just witnessed the rebirth of the All Night Express. They've focused their minds and bodies, but are now under the management of Austin Aries. Titus introduces Aries, who comes out wearing his ring gear and a ring jacket, and brings a cold bottle of water for each man to enjoy. Aries takes a mic and tells the fans, "Every penny you paid to be here live, and every penny you paid to watch the iPPV, is now officially worth it!" Airies says that he tried to take the high road and apologized to Dazey Haze for what has happened, but nobody has accepted it. He tells Delirious he's about to be taught a lesson. "I will eliminate anybody in my way, at all costs! So, Delirious, come pay the piper!" Austin Aries vs. Delirious As was announced before the PPV, Titus & King would be banned from ringside, and they are, much to their objections. Aries and Delirious are nose-to-nose, Aries with an arrogant slap, Delirious fires back with the Green Mist! Aries is blinded as Delrious puts him in the corner, chops, headbutt into another corner, then Delirious uses a paper streamer that falls from the sky to choke Aries. Delirious has Airies in a chokehold, picks him up and slams him to the mat. Delirious with a throat-slash, moves in from behind with the Cobra Clutch, Aries backs him into the corner and gets a break with a reverse elbow. Aries elbows Delirious in the abck of his neck, still partially blinded. Aries whips Delirious off the ropes, Delirious reverses it and clubs Aries in the back. Aries staggers up, still half blind, attacks the referee mistakenly, tries to slam him, Delirious attacks him from behind and throws him out of the ring. Delirious goes out to brawl, Aries is able to escape, Delirious comes up again, Aries is able to whip him into the guard rail to get a break, then gets a water bottle to rinse his eyes out. Now that Aries can see, he's all over Delirious, chiop to the chest, whip into the ring barrier, then picks up the water bottle and smacks Delirious with it. Aries picks up Delirious on his shoulders drops him neck-first over the guardrail and chokes up. Aries slides into the ring to break the 20-count, climbs to the top turnbuckle and flies for a double axehandle smash, Delirious sees it and sidesteps it, Aries hits the barrier face-first! Delirious picks him up, chops to the chest, then thrown head-first into the barricades. Delirious kicks Aries in the face a few times, leans in and bites his forehead. Delirious throws him back into the ring finally, climbs on the apron, goes to the top turnbuckle, Aries hits the ropes and knocks Delirous off-balance. Aries picks up Delirious on the apron, weaves him into the ropes and then pulls off a hangman's neckbreaker, which snaps Delirious' neck off the ropes, then sends him careening into the rinside barrier, Delirious injures his left forearm. Aries drags him back into the ring and uses the tassles on Delirious' mask to choke him. Delirious tries to kick Aries from the ground, but Aries kicks him back, puts him in the corner. Aries with a chop to the chest, follows up with a knee driving into the skull, then a boot ground into his head until the referee gets a break. Delirious stands up, chops Aries twoice, Aries responds with a shotshot neck-first into the ropes, covers and gets a two count. Aries with a scoop slam followed with a double boot scrape across the skull, then wraps his legs around the neck with a headscissor, rolls him around to his knees and pulls up on the head to add more pressure. Aries puts Delirious into the corner, more punches to the head, then to the body, followed by kicks until referee gets another break. Aries whips Delirious to the opposite corner, charges, Delirious gets both feet up to stop it. Delirious goes to the top turnbuckle, Arieis climbs up to cut him off, Delirious bites him to block it, shoves him off, but Aries comes right back with a forearm to the face, sets up for a move, Delirious headbutts him off, stands up, leaps, Aries ducks it, but Delirious rolls through it, turns around and hits Aries with a headbutt to the chest, followed by a Cobra Suplex! Aries is down! Delirious takes a moment to recover, charges out of the corner, Aries leaps up and hits a deperation lariat that turns Delirious inside-out. Both men are down, taking their time to get to their feet. Aries is up first, but Delirious with a double leg sweep, mounts him for some punches and then a full-on choke. Delirious pulls him up, puts him in the corner to set up for a Beil Toss. Delirious starts with an armbar, Aries escapes, Delirious counters with several headbutts. Aries uses the ropes to pull himself up, Delirious with a reverse waistlock, Aries won't release the ropes. Delirious slaps him on the back to break, picks him up on his hsoulders, face-first slam, followed by a trio of sentons to Aries' back. Delirious stands up and goads Aries to get up. Delirious moves in, hits him with a modified DDT, onto the back, applies a Cobra Sleeper. Aries rolls himself to the ropes to throw Delirious to the floor. Aries bounces off the ropes, goes for a suicide dive through the ropes, Delirious evades it and Aries smacks face-first into the guardrail! Referee goes to check on both men, then starts a count-out. Delirious rolls Aries back in, then walks around the ring and picks the opposite corner to climb to the top. Delirious goes for the Shadows Over Hell, Titus & King run out and shove Delirious off the top, drawing a DQ for Aries. WINNER: Delirous, by disqualification. Titus & King continue their assault, Delirious throws King out, who then checks on Aries. Delirious pulls Titus' ring trunks down, revealing a black G-String. Titus immediately goes into a Rick Roode impersonation, throwing his hands behind his head and gyrating his hips. He spins around and gets a kick to the jimmy from Delirious. Delirious then leaps to the nearest top turnbuckle and hits a dive on King and Aries. Both men regroup at the top of the ramp. The 2nd Annual Toronto Gauntlet: Tyson Dux vs. ROH World TV Champion Eddie Edwards (w/ Shane Haggadorn) vs. Shawn Daivari (w/ the Embassy) vs. Colt Cabana vs. Steve Corino vs. Roderick Strong Tyson Dux and Eddie Edwards will start out first, collar-and-elbow tie-up, both men struggling, Dux finally gets Edwards in the corner, referee gets a clean break. Edwards knees Dux in the chest, go-behind, Dux snags an arm, drags Edwards over into a headscissor, Edwards escapes and gets a front face lock, stands him up into a Guillotine CHoke. Dux escapes, armbar into a wristlock, puts Edwards on his back. Edwards kips out, escapes, snap mare takeover into a side headlock on Dux. Edwards stands up, Dux escapes and applies his own side headlock. Edwards shoots him off, shoulder block by Dux takes him down. Dux bounces off the ropes, floatover, leapfrog by Edwards, armdarg by Dux, armdrag by Edwards, another from Dux, another from Edwards and both men face each other down in a stalemate! Edwards calls for a test of strength, Dux backs off. Edwards calls for it again, but then hits Dux with a kick to the midsection, lays him with chops and puts him in the corner. And... my stream dies again. Feed finally comes back, and we see Edwards with a snap mare takeover on Dux, transitioning into a Camel Clutch submission, then claws the face and pulls back on the neck before the referee breaks it up. Edwards picks up Dux, Dux punches in the midsection, they trade punches back and forth, Edwards gets the upper-hand with a headbutt. Dux is whipped into a corner, Edwards charges, Dux gets a boot up, bounces off the ropes, Edwards repays him with a pair of boots to the face, Dux fires off forearm shots, whips Edwards off the ropes, reversed, Dux reverses it again and hits a backdrop. Dux follows up with a shoulder tackle right to the face, covers, gets a two count. Edwards whipped off the ropes, Edwards reverses, Dux counters with a kick ot the midsection, followed by a Facebuster, covers and gets a two count. Dux signals for the Death Valley Driver, picks up Edwrads, Edwards escapes, spins him around, Edwards with a Discus Clothesline, covers, Dux kicks out at two. Edwards picks up Dux, puts him on the top turnbuckle, forearm shiver, Edwards goes up, front face lock, sets up for a suplex, but Dux shoves him off, tries to climb up to the top himself but gets hugn up, Edwards catches him with a boot to the face, tries to set up for the suplex again, Dux beats him off, then hits a Sunset Powerbomb from the top. Edwards is turned inside-out with a big clothesline, Dux covers, Edwards is just barely able to kick out in time! Dux pulls up Edwards b ythe hair, goes for the DVD again, pick sup Edwards, he escapes, shvoes Dux into the corner and follows up, but gets kicked in the head by Dux. Dux tries to climb to the top turnbuckle, Edwards pulls him up, tries fora jawbreaker, Dux throws him off, shves him into the corner, charges, Edwards evades, sets up for a Lungblower, Dux pushes him off, charges, Edwards with a drop toe hold right into a Bostom Crab! Dux is able to roll under his legs, grabs the legs, one...two... three! Eddie Edwards is eliminated! Shawn Daivari rushes in immediately, attacks Dux and goes for his left knee, punches the back, lays in a kneebar, driving a knee into the hamstrings of Dux. Daivari with another lstanding legbar, goes for a cover, two count. Dux is able to throw Daivari out of the ring, refere goes over to count him out and the Embassy attackx Dux from the other side of the ring. Daivari gets in, works on the knee more, then lays out Dux and slaps on the Figure Four Leglock. Daivari is able to wrench it on and force Dux's back to the mat, getting a pair of pin attempts. Daivary reaches back and grabs onto Prince Nana's hands for extra leverage, referee breaks it up. Daivari puts Dux's leg on the ropes and slams his body down on it. He goes for it again, Dux is able to kick him off and through the ropes. Daivari recovers, climbs to the top turnbuckle while Dux is down. Dux climbs up unsteadily, sets up for a Superplex and pulls it off! Daivari is down in pain, but Dux can't follow up because his injured leg goes numb! Referee starts a count, both men get up, Dux with an Enziguri, followed by a belly-to-back suplex, then a big lariat, covers, only gets a two count out of it, Daivari kicks out. Dux picks up Daivari from behind, Daivari tries to elbow out, no good, Dux pulls off the DVD, covers, two count. Both men up and start trading chops, Daivari goes back and kicks the knee, tries for a big clothesline, Dux ducks it, picks up Daivari, slingshot suplex off the ropes, covers, two count by Daivari putting his feet ont he ropes, possibly Prince nana reach ing and doing it. That's what Dux believes, and as Nana gets on the apron, Dux knocks him out. Daivari attacks from the apron, Dux tries to suplex him back in. Nana clearly drags the leg this time and trips Dux, and holds it down as Daivari gets the pin. Tyson Dux is eliminated! Colt Cabana runs in, gets tripped by Prince Nana, Cabana kicks him off! Cabana immediately flips Daivari over with the Billy Goat's Curse submission and Daivari taps out. Colt Cabana rushes in next, Cabana immediately reels off a series of punches, followed by an elbow to the head! Corino tries to wind up a punch, but gets cut off. Coabana bounces off the ropes, Corino catches him with a knee to the midsection, Cabana grabs a leg, flips Corino over and applies the Billy Goat's Curse, Corino grabs a rope and pulls himself out of the ring. Cabana immediately dives over the ropes and goes on the attack, punching Cornio in the head while slapping hands with the fans at the same time. Corino staggers off and Flair flops to the floor. Cobana throws Corino back in the ring, Corino pulled a fork out of his trunk, tries to attack with it. Referee takes it away, Corino spins around and kicks Cabana in the midsection, bounces off the ropes and hits a dropkick to the face, cover and a two count. Corino with a choke from behind, then puts Cabana on the middle rope. Cabana staggers off into the corner. Corino comes over, Cabana chops and punches, puts Corino in the corner, Corino responds with a chop, a club to the back. drills him with a fist right between the eyes. Corino goes for it again, Cabana counters with a trio of big haymakers, Corino cuts him off with a thumb to the eyes. Corino rakes Corino in the eys, then a good old-fashioned gouging from behind. Corino picks up Cabana by the legs, throws him over the shoulders, Cabana escapes, Corino flips him back over and flips him onto his back. Corino pulls off the elbow pad and goes for the Eternal Dream, but Corino snags thearm, pulls him over into an armbar, rolls him up and gets the pin, Steve Corino is eliminated! The final participant, Roderick Strong, runs in and tries to get a quick pin on Cobana as Corino tries to beat him up. Strong orders Corino to get out of the ring, then starts to kick down Cabana in the corner. Strong picks him up, choips, whip off the ropes, Cabana counters with a forearm shot, Strong with punches, Cabana with kicks, and Strong finishes it off with a standing dropkick to the face. Cabana tries to roll ouyt of the ring, Strong grabs a leg, drags him back in, goes for a cover, two count. Strong flips Cabana over and applies a reverse chinlock, Cabana grabs the ropes to get a break. Strong keeps on Cabana and stomps him on the mat, picks him up , font face lock, sets up and executes a snap suplex, covers, two count for Strong. Strong chipos Cabana in the chest a few times, Cabana staggers up to his feet, Hulks up as Strong lays in more chops, Canba fires off with big chops of his own, a pair of double chops sends Strong into the ropes, Cabana with a pair of elbows to the head, then a wind-up punch that flattens Strong. Cabana follows up, puts Strong int he corner, more chops, whip out, Strong reverses, Cabana stops himself, turns around and clothesliens Strong. Cabana charges, Strong with a boot up and an Enziguri to stop it, bouncwes off the ropes, Cabana ducks a clothesline, moonsault off the ropes and flattens Strong, covers, two count. Cabana covers again, two count. Cabana grabs Strong by his left ankle and wrenches it, Strong escapes to the outside. Strong's new manager, Truth Martini, gives him some advice and motivation as Strong walks off his ankle injury. Referee goes to check on him, Martini slides in the ring, spins Cabana around and smacks him in the head with the edge of the book, knocking him out! Strong immediately rushes in and covers, one... two... three! WINNER: Roderick Strong. Strong will get a future shot at the ROH World Heavyweight Title. Strong pulls Martini into the ring and shakes his hand, then both men hug. Strong climbs the turnbuckle to celebrate as Martini poses behind him, with the book over his head. Referee is checking on Cabana. We take a 15 minute intermission, we come back early as El Generico and Kevin Steen come brawling out from the back. Steve Corino comes out with a chair, Colt Cabana comes out after Corino, battling it out in the corner. Steen attacks Cabana as Corino is thrown out. Generico comes in and takes out Steen. Referees come in and get thrown aside, ring announcer Bobby Cruise comes up on the apron, Genericho grabs him by the neck tie, then removes it, and uses it to choke Steen! More officials come in and pulls El Generico off, Cabana runs in and drags Steen out of the ring. Fans chant "OLE! OLE OLE OLE!" as El Generico and Colt Cabana rally the fans on. And we're still at intermission 15 minutes later... Christ. This is a show killer. They start to show videos, then they stop, then we get a GFL logo on black screen, then we get a hard camera shot of the arena, then it's shaking all over the place... production sucks here, ROH! Finally, the arena goes dark Lights come back up and we're back with ROH Executive Producer Jim Cornette! Fans throw streamers in the ring to welcome him. "I'll say one thing right now, it's never cold in Canada when Ring of Honor is in town! I'd like to come out of here just a second to thank you for supporting Ring of Honor in such big numbers here tonight!" Fans start an "R-O-H! R-O-H!" chant. Cornette continues, "We have three more matches to come, so I'm going to make this short and sweet. Toronto, going back fifty years to the Maple Leaf Gardens... this is the mecca of professional wrestling in North America, and you guys are the reason! You have made the choice to come here tonight and support real professional wrestling, and the world-wide audience on GoFightLive are getting to see what it is like to see Ring of Honor live in Tornoton, Cananda! Most of all, even though the wrestlers lay their lives on the line every time they get int he ring, it would all be for nothing without you guys rocking th is place! Thank you for supporting us! Pick 6 Contenders Series Match: #2 "the Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels vs. Kenny Omega Ontario native Kenny Omega is introduced first, and he's showered with streamers from the fans. Daniels is introduced and he gets streamer love as well! The Alpha vs. the Omega. Interesting. A friendly handhsake between both men before we lock up, Omega with an armbar to start, Daniels escapes, side headlock, Omega tries to shoot him off, Daniels holds onto the head lock and grinds the whip attempt to a halt. Omega tries again, Daniels comes out, re-applies the headlock and applies a side headlock takeover. Omega tries to roll him over for a pin, Daniels flips himself over. Omega breaks with a headscissor escape, but Daniels is right back on him with the side headlock on the mat. Daniels pulls up to his feet, Omega escapes, side headlock of his own, Daniels shoots him off and eats a shoulder block. Omega tries to float over after bouncing off the ropes, Daniels trips him and re-applies the headlock. Omega tries to escape, pulls Daniels over with an armdrag into a keylock on the arm. Omega gets him to his feet, winds up the arm, picks up Daniels and takes him over with a bakcrop, follows up with a kneedrop to the arm, re-applies the keylock on the arm. Daniels flips over for relief, Omega re-applies the armbar, puts Daniels ont he ropes, chops him in the chest, whips him off, Daniels reverses, goes for a slam, Omega rolls through and armdrags Daniels, both men stand off. Daniels whips Omega off the ropes, Omega reverses and is repaid with a shoulder block. Daniels float s over, Omega with a leapfrog, both men cartwheel through each other, Omega with an armdrag on Daniels, whips Daniels off the ropes and hits a high back body drop. Omega charges Daniels in the corner and blasts him with an elbow to the face. Omega smashes Daniels in the face with a forearm, whip offr the ropes, Daniels catches himself on the ropes, Omega chargs, gets backdropped, Omega holds on, turns around and hits Daniels with a forearm, leaps to the top rope and hits a cross-body block, goes for the cover, two count. Omega goes for a lateral press, Daniels shoves him off, Daniels goes for his own, Omega throws him off an Daniels rolls out. Omega tries to leap up to the turnbuckle for a move ont he outside, Daniels leaps up and cuts hom off, attacks with a club to the back, enziguri from his back, then a neckbreaker off the turnbuckle ont o the outside edge of the apron, both men go down, smacking their heads on the apron! Daniels rolls out, elbows Omega in the back of the head, Omega with an elbow to the midsection, Daniels clubs the back and rolls him back in the ring. Omega is whipped off the ropes and eats a big clothesline from Daniels, cover by the3 Fallen Angel, two count. Daniels ring Omega's neck to keep him down. Crowd is chanting "Fuck 'em up, Daniels, fuck 'em up!" Daniels with a kneedrop to the back of Omega's head, flips him over, covers, two count. Daniels applies a reverse chinlock/half Nelson combination submission. Omega works his way up to his feet, elbows loose, Daniels tries to hold on with a side headlock, Omega escapes, bounces off the ropes, ducks a clothesline but can't duck the leg lariat from Daniels. Omega goes off to the corner, Daniels hits him with a forearm to the back of the neck, then a back body drop, Daniels with the lateral press, can only get a two count. Daniels picks up Omega, executes a DDT-style moves, covers, two count. Daniels reaches down to pick up Omega, Omega slaps him, Daniels kicks him in the face, followed by a suplex, springboard moonsault off the ropes into an Arabian crossface, Omega reaches out to grab the ropes and break the old. Daniels sends Omega face-first into the turnbuckle, steps out onto the apron, climbs to the turnbuckles, Omega cuts him off with a pair of big right hands. Omega climbs up himself, headbutts Daniels. Daniels counters with punches to the ribs, a headbutt, and climbs to the top turnbuckle. Daniels is setting up for the Angel's Wings from the top, Omega with a desperation back body drop to break it up, both men get a brief rest, back to their feet. Daniels charges Omega, Omega ducks it, hits a pair of Polish Hammers to the chest, goes for a third, Daniels ducks it, they trade moves, Omega finishes with a Rocker Dropper on Daniels, covers, hooks the leg, two count. Omega steps out on the apron, wait for Daniels to get up, springboards back into the ring, dropkicks Daniels in the back, covers, two count. Omega picks up Daniesl for the Dragon Suplex, Daniels escapes it, shoves Omega into the ropes and takes him down with the Koji Clutch! Omega is able to kick himself around and get his feet on the ropes to break it. Daniels sets Omega on the top turnbuckle and hits him with a big uppercut. Daniels pulls him off neck-first with the Fall from Grace slam, covers, Omega barely kicks out! Daniels elbows Omega in the back of the neck several times, bounces off the ropes and executes a Hangman's Neckbreaker, covers, hooks the leg, Omega still kicks out. Daniels slowly gets to his feet, pulls up Omega. Omega punches him in the midsection to keep him at bay, fires off with big open-hand chops, tries for a spin kick, Daniels ducks it, tries to set up for Angel's Wings, Omega ducks it, spins him around, piledriver! Omega covers, hooks the legs, Daniels kicks out. Omega tries to rally back, picks up Daniels, underhooks him, Daniels shoves him off, Omega fires back with lefts and rights, Daniels ducks one, hits the palm thrusts, Omega responds with an Enziguri, bounces offthe ropes, Daniels is right there and nails him with a Urinagi, goes for the Best Moonsault Ever, Omega ducks it, Omega with a hurrancanrana, sets up Daniels with the 2K1, nails it, covers, hooks the legs, Daniels kicks out! Fans are chanting "THIS IS AWE-SOME! *clap-clap clap-clap-clap* Omega sets upfor a move, charges, Daniels ducks it, hits the Angel's Wings, one... two... thrKICKOUT!! Daniels can't believe it, argues with refere Todd Sinclair. Daniels is shocked, wondering what he has to do to put Omega away. Daniels picks Omega up, drops him, picks him up by the hair, drops him again. Tries with a front face lock, Omega grabs the head, hits a jawbreaker, follows up with a spin kick, Dragon Suplex, finishes it with double palm thrust to the face! Omega covers, one... two... Daniels kicks out! Omega now argues with the referee over the count. Fans are chanting "THIS IS WRESTLING!" as Omega picks up Daniels on his shoulders, Daniels hammers away at th ehead, rolls through, armdrag, both men collide with a clothesline, back off... they chargee again, both clothesline again. Daniels hits palmstrikes on Omega, Omega counters with a kick to the chest, spin kick to the back, bounces off the ropes, Daniels counters with a STO, leaps to the turnbuckles, BEST! MOONSAULT! EVER! ONE! TWO! THREE! WINNER: Christopher Daniels. Daniels retains his #2 spot for the Pick Six top contenders list. He'll face either Tyler Black or Davey Richards after tonight for the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Title. Daniels pulls up Omega after the match, raises his arm and they both hug before Omega gracefully departs so Daniels can celebrate in the ring. ROH World Tag Team Title Match – No Disqualification: champions The Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli, w/ Shane Hagadorn) vs. Jay and Mark Briscoe All night long we've had updates that the Briscoe Bros. have not made it to the arena, with no word on what the delay is. The Kings of Wrestling are introduced first, ring announcer Bobby Cruise leans over the ropes to find out what's going on. Cruise announces that the Briscoe Brothers have not arrived in time for this match. Claudio Castagnoli takes the mic, "Ladies and gentlemen, may I have your attention, please? At this time, the Kings of Wrestling would like to thank Canada for not letting the Briscoe Brothers into this beautiful country! Its for reasons like that that the Kings of Wrestling love to come to Toronto, Ontario, Canada!" Chris Hero follows up, "I hear a lot of cheers, but I can sense an overwhelming display of disappointment. And I can sympathise, I can empathise, because I am also disappointed. Becuase tonight was the night we prove to the world that the Kings of Wrestling are the most dominant tag team in Ring of Honor history! It's a damn shame that the Briscoe boys couldn't man up and make it through customs But, to be honest, I'm not hardly surprised..." and with that, the Briscoe Brothers hit the ring from the crowd, dressed in ring gear, and ready to fight! They take the belst and strap Hero and Castagnoli with them, and the champions roll out of the ring. But that won't save this, this is a No Disqualification match and this fight is on! Castagnoli gets his shir tpulled over his head then whipped into a ringpost! The Briscoes focus in on Hero, roll him into the ring and double-team him with a beat down, whip off the ropes, double team shoulder tackle! Unfortunately (being the ROH noob) I don't know which Briscoe is wich, but they're pretty much working over Chris Hero with frequent tags, and keeping Castagnoli off the apron as frequently as he gets up, Castagnoli is busted open. Shane Hagadorn gets on the apron, and he gets chased out of the ring, Castagnoli takes another backdrop, Hero is beaten down. Castagnoli is whipped in and takes a backdrop, Hero rolls in and eats a pair of clothesline. Hero tries to whip one of the Briscoes into Castagnoli for a backdrop, but Hero is reversed and he's backdropped out of the ring. Mark Brisoce and Chris Hero brawl out of the ring, Jay Briscoe attacks Castagnoli in the corner, Castagnoli gets to his feet and throws Jay out of the ring. Hero has busted Mark Briscoe open and is choking him on the apron, rolsl him in, Castagnoli with a belly-to-back suplex into a reverse chinlock. Catagnoli lays him out, bounces off the ropes, knee drop to the head. Hero tags in, double-team whip on Mark Birscoe into the corner. Mark tries to fight back, Hero cuts him off, headbutts him into the corner, and Mark Briscoe is full crimson mask now. Castagnoli taunts Jay Briscoe and shoves him out of the ring. Castagnoli tags Hero in, double team whip off the ropes, flip him over and slam him to the mat, Hero elbows Jay off the apron, goes for the cover on Mark, Mark kicks off at a one count. Hero cuts off Mark with a knee to the midsection, throws him in the corner, elbow, tags in Castagnolis, leg lariat from the top rope onto the shoulder of Mark, pulls Mark over into an armbar then deepens Mark's cut on his head with elbows from the back. Referee stops to check on the cut, Castagnoli shoves him out of the way, elbow drop to the head, cover, two count. Castagnoli tags in Hero, they whip Mark into a corner, Claudio whips Hero into the corner with a fgorearm shot, Claudio goes to follow up with a clothesline, Mark whips Hero right into it though! Mark gets to his feet, leaps on the turnbuckle, hits a cross-body block on both men, rolls under their clothesline, Jay with the hot tag! Jay Briscoe with rights on both men, whips Hero off the ropes, big dropkick! Jay slows down and leaves himself open to an attack from Claudio from behind, whip off the ropes, Jay reverses, has Claudio on his back, hits the Death Valley Driver! Jay grabs Hero by the hair and headbutts him into the turnbuckle 10... 15... 20... 30 times! Holy shit and Hero is busted open! Hagadorn back on the apron, Jay runs over and kicks his head off! Mark Briscoe back in the ring, atttacking Claudio. Jay is attack by Hero from behind, Jay reverses it, rolls up Hero, Hero kicks him off into the ropes and Hagadorn blasts Jay right in the head! Claudio mounts Mark and lays in with big forearm smashes, on the outside Heri is bleeding pretty good as Hagadorn helps him tie up Jay to the ringpost by his neck! Referee is trying to break it up but has no power, this is a no DQ match! In the ring. Claudio is trying a Camel Clutch, Mark elbows his way out, Claudio bounces off the ropes and hits an European Uppercut. Jay is tied up by the neck at the ringpost. Claudio in the ring, big vertical suplex on Mark Briscoe. Chris Hero back on the apron, Claudio tags him in. Claudio sets up with a delayed vertical suplex, Mark escapes, Hero hits him with a elbow to the back of the head, covers, hooks the leg, Mark kicks out at one. Hero picks up Mark on his shoulders, Claudio goes up top and Claudio takes him out with the European Twist, covers, one... two... Mark kicks out! The Kings of Wrestling decid ethe referee is interfering, they throw him out! Claudio hems up Mark, Hero bounces off the ropes and kicks Mark in the head. The referee has recovered, is attempting to free Jay Briscoe from the ringpost. In the ring Mark Briscoe is taking a beating, Claudio ems up Mark, Hero hits him with the Rolling Elbow, covers as the referee gets back in the ring, two count. Hero has Mark in a headlock, Claudio sets up for a move, but Jay Briscoe from ringside blasts Claudio with a fire extinguisher! Hero runs over and gets a blast in the eyes. Jay gets in, front-face slam on Claudio into the turnbuckle! Big kick to the face on Hero! Mark has rolled out and throws a table into the ring. Jay sets it up in the corner as Mark brings in a hubcab from the crowd. Claudio gets up and eats the hubcap, it goes flying back out into the crowd! The Birscoes double-team on Claudio as Chris Hero is out. Claudio is whipped into the table, he tries to put on the brakes, falls ont he table but doesn't break. They pick up Hero and whip him into Claudio, still doesn't break. The Briscoes set up Hero and hit a double-team neckbreaker on him, then throw him out of the ring. The table is reset int he corner, Briscoes pick up Claudio, doublt then toss into the table, Cluadio tries to flip thorugh it, lands on his feet just short of the table, but turns around and eats a double team shoulde block that sends Claudio through the table, finally breaking it! Jay goes for the cover, but Claudio is able to kick out. Mark climbs to the top turnbuckle, Jay sets Claudio on his shoulders for the Doomsday Device, Hagadorn gets on the apron, Claudio is thrown out of the ring, Mark drags Hagadron in, they take him out and set him up for the Doomsday Device instead! Hagadorn is DEAD! Refere check son him. Claudio grabs Jay Brisoce from outside, tries to drag him out by th eleg, Mark somersaults over Jay to take out Claudio. Hero in the ring, loads up the "Lucky Elbow Pad" and blasts Jay from behind, goes for the cover, Jay kicks out, Mark rushes in and takes Hero to the outside to brawl. Claudio gets in, picks up Jay on his shoulders for the UFO, executes, covers, two count! Hero takes care of Mark, takes the loaded elbow pad and puts it on his foot. Claudio picks up Jay, swings him around by his feet in a classic Giant Swing, Hero gets in the ring and dropkicks Jay in mid-swing, right int he head, Jay is busted open! Claudio covers and gets the pinfall. WINNERS AND STILL ROH TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS - THE KINGS OF WRESTLING! The Briscoes are not able to avenge their father on this night, the Kings of Wrestling come up with the win in the match that the Briscoes stipulated. The Kings pose at the top of the engrance ramp and celebrate, while the fans chant "THANK YOU BRISCOES!" as they pose in the ring. The fans are impatient waiting for this main event, heckling one of the crew members cleaning the ring, "LETS GO BROOM GUY! *clap-clap clap-clap-clap* and finally cheer as they clear the ring of blood and debris for the main event.Fans heavily chant for Davey Richards as we're still waiting. Jim Cornette comes down to ringside at the announcer's table. ROH World Title Match: champion Tyler Black defends vs. Davey Richards Fans are chanting "FUCK YOU TY-LER!" as he enters. Tyler asks for a handshake before the bell, Richards questions it and ultimately refuses it, spitting in his hand. Black wipes his hands off on his tights as the bell rings, both men circle and lock up collar-and-elbow. Black with a side headlock, Richard s escapes, armbar, Black flips through it, armbar into a front face lock, Richards drives him to the ropes. Referee gets a clean break, both men slap each other in the face, then shoves on the chest. Richards fires off with a right, spin kick to themidsection, Black takes him over with a headscissor into a modified front face lock onthe mat, Richards flips him over for a pin attempt, Black rolls him back over, Richards flips him over and has a leg lock, transitions into a modified STF, then a side headlock. Black gets to his feet, whips Richards off the roeps, eats a shoulder block from Richards, rolls up afterward, Black is covered, kicks out, Richards smoothly rolls him over into a modified surfboard on Black, flips him over on his shoulders for a pin, Black kicks out and reverses the Surfboard on Richards, Richards is able to get a rope break. Referee starts another count, Black has a HUGE strawberry on his forearm, turning into a bruise for sure. 10 down, 10 to go... 11... 12... 13... 14... 15... 16... 17.l.. Richards reaches up for the ropes, falls down... 18... 19... Richards is able to dash back in at 20, THIS MATCH WILL CONTINUE! Black argues the referee's count! Richards pulls himself up by the ropes, collapses at Black's feet, but stands back up. Black asks Richards to quit, Richards slaps him and tells him to bring it on. Richards is hit with a Superkick, immediately follwed up wtih a DDT! Black covers, one.. twoooo... Richards kicks out! Black pulls up Richards, sets up for a powerbomb into the turnbuckle!, follows up with a Superkick, Richards snatches the leg in mid-air, Dragon Screw Legwhip into the Cloverleaf! Black crawls to the ropes, Richards drags him back to the middle of the ring... fans are cheering Richards, Black refuses to tap, crawls to the ropes again, Richards goes to drag him back to the middle, Black pulls him over into a small package! ONE! TWO! Richards kicks out! Both men take their time getting up, charge, hit each other with boots to the head, then fire off with forearm shots, staggering each other. Richards pulls Black down, knees him in the head multiple times, Black stands up and paintbrush slasp Richards in the face, more kicks, more slaps, Black bounces off the ropes, Richards catches him in the midsection with a kick, Richards counters with a clothesline, ONE TWO KICKOUT!! Richards calls for the DR Driver, picks up Black, pulls him up, Black escapes, Richards tries again, powerbombs Black in the corner, follows up with a kick to the side of the head, underhooks into a butterfly DDT, covers, hooks the legs, ONE TWO THRKICKOUTS BY BLACK! The ring announcers are losing their voice, Jim Cornette is taking over the play-by-play and color at the same time! Richards is slow to get up first, crawls over to Black, shouts, "JUST DIE, TYLER, DIE!" Richards drags Black to the corner, climbs up to the top for a Shooting Star Press... unsteady, Black is up, knocks him down, Richards headbutts him, Black firs off with a punch, goes to the outside, climbs up to meet Richards, Richards headbutts him, clubs him in the back... they fight for position, Black kicks him in the head, Richards falls off, gets hung up on the middle turnbuckle. BLACK WITH A DOUBLE FOOT STOMP INTO THE CHEST!!! Richards falls down, Black falls down. Black rolls Richards intot he ring, throws an arm over for the cover, but Richards is able to get a shoulder up! Black picks up Richards, powerbombs him into the turnbuckle again, follows up with a kick to the jaw, covers Richards, but Richards still kicks out. Black simply cannot believe that he has not been able to put him away. Fans are chanting "YOU CAN'T BEAT HIM!" as Black staggers up to his feet, pulls up Richards by the head, stands him up, then lets him go, Richards falls to his knee, Black kciks him in the face, picks him up for a clutch suplex, slams him over, holds on to the leg... one... two... three! WINNER AND STILL ROH WORLD CHAMPION, TYLER BLACK! Holy shit, this was a marathon 60-minute main event that delivered! Fans stand up and politely applaud Tyler Black's hard-earned victory, but he's not getting the adoration that Davey Richards held since before the bell. Black packs the belt over his shoulder and looks over his vanquished opponent, puts the belt down and check son Richards himself, then going over to ringside to have an officialc ome in and check on Richards. Richards sits himself up with the referee's help as the fans start chanting "MATCH OF YEAR! MATCH OF YEAR!" Richards crawls over to a corner and sits up, asks for a mic. Looks like something is going on as Cornette walks over to the official helping Richards. Richards stands up, staggers over to Black with the mic. "Now you're a champion," he says, and he staggers back to the corner and collapses. He's rolled out of the ring by another guy from the back. Black picks up the mic. "Davey, that was a lot of expectation going into this match, and honestly I didn't know how things would go, especially at the end there. My friend, thank you... thank you, Davey!" Fans respond back, "THANK YOU BOTH!" Black holds the title above his head as we close out the broadcast. |
