Mike Poulin's TNA Impact Recap for July 15th, 2010

Victory Road highlight package to open the show.

This week on Impact - Beer Money battle the new TNA Tag Team Champions Motor City Machine Guns in Match 1 best of the Best of 5 Series and all the fallout from Victory Road.

Your new Top 10 rankings:

10. Rob Terry
9. The Pope
8. Kurt Angle
7. Hernandez
6. Jay Lethal
5. AJ Styles
4. Samoa Joe
3. MR. ANDERSON
2. Jeff Hardy
1. Abyss - who now obtains the next title shot at Hard Justice.

Abyss comes to the ring with his girl aka 2X4 wrapped up in Barbed Wire. Abyss gets the microphone and introduces us to his Girlfriend Janice apparently he named the 2X4 with Barbed Wire. Abyss says that they have a plan for Rob Van Dam and Abyss will reveal that plan later tonight. Abyss then beats up a bag of raw meat with Janice.

We go backstage to find Sarita and Taylor Wilde brawling. Apparently they're scheduled for a random Street Fight tonight which is next hence the brawling backstage and why security doesn't stop them.

Match 1

Sarita beat Taylor Wilde in a Knockout Street Fight by choking Wilde out with someone's purse I hope it was a woman's purse and not a man's purse.

Match 2

Brian Kendrick beat Douglas Williams in a Non Title I Quit Match but then is attacked by Kevin Nash.

Kevin Nash gets the microphone and says that he's sending a message to Hogan and Bischoff and says there aren't many like him 6 ft 10 and built like a God as I hold my laughter. Nash sets Kendrick up for a powerbomb but Jeff Jarrett comes out. Jarrett says this isn't what we need right now and asks Nash if he wants to end up suspended like Sting. Nash calls himself the best worker in the business. Yeah maybe 15 years ago when Vince was shoving you down are throats Kevin. Jarrett says some things never change and calls Nash an egotistical son of a bitch. Nash basically tells Jarrett that if he wants a problem with him then he's got it. Oh fucking yay a Jeff Jarrett vs Kevin Nash program probably leading to a match at Hard Justice just what everyone wants to see in 2010.

Match 3

Samoa Joe beat Desmond Wolfe and Global Champion Rob Terry in about 4 minutes when Joe forced Wolfe to tap out.

Match 4

Beer Money Inc beat TNA Tag Team Champions in a Ladder Match where the prize was a contract to pick next week's match between the two teams. The belts were not on the line but this was a fun match not as good as their PPV match but it was fun/

Match 5

Pope D'Angelo Dinero beat Matt Morgan with the Codebreaker in 3 minutes. After the Ma

Madison Rayne is in the ring with a microphone. Madison says that she is launching a complaint against TNA Official Andrew Thomas for his decision in the match. Madison points out that the stipulation of the match was if anyone in TBP interfered she would lose the title and obviously it was no one in TBP who interfered so rightfully the title should still belong to her. Madison demands her title be returned to her by next week or she will sue TNA for every penny it's worth. That can't be much by this point. Velvet Sky and Lacey Von Erich come to the ring. Velvet and Madison have an argument and dissension teased between Velvet and Madison while Lacey Von Erich just kind of tries to break them up. Angelina Love comes out and says that she doesn't know what's worse the acting on the Hills or the actors in the ring. Well for my money I don't watch the hills so I'd go with the acting in the ring. Angelina says we all know it was either Velvet or Lacey riding the bike at Victory Road. Velvet brings up that the person riding the motorcycle had a dumpy ass. Wow that's great investigation their Velvet. Velvet then says that Angelina can have Madison to herself because she's out. Angelina and Madison brawl as Velvet leaves. The mysterious motorcycle woman comes out and attacks Angelina while the camera focuses on Lacey Von Erich so we know obviously that it wasn't her and I guess since Velvet had already left it wasn't her. Segment ends with Madison giving Angelina a DDT on a steel chair and laying her out and riding off with this mysterious motorcycle woman. I don't know while I think this angle sucks I kind of liked this segment and finally teasing a break up of TBP with Velvet looking to be the face in this situation.

Main Event

Jeff Hardy Pinned Jay Lethal in 6 minutes with the Swanton Bomb

Ric Flair is in the ring and announces AJ Styles and Kazarian as the first members of the Fortune Stable. Wait so what the fuck were they fighting for. Desmond Wolfe comes to the ring and demands he be let in to Fortune. Abyss comes out and Fortune scatters. Abyss calls out RVD. Rob Van Dam comes to the ring and Abyss says that they are coming and they have told Abyss to take the TNA Title and says that they are going to hang his girl Janice 15 feet above the ring and we are going to have the most extreme match in TNA History including Tables Ladders Chairs Glass and Barbed Wire just tell me when and where. RVD and Abyss get in to a brawl and Abyss lands a chokeslam. All the sudden from out of the crowd comes Rhino, Raven, Dreamer, and Stevie and they all beat down Abyss. The TNA locker room empties with agents and wrestlers and then Simon Diamond, Al Snow, and a few others start attacking TNA officials. Jeff Jarrett comes out and at this point Dixie Carter who was just standing out there the whole time intervenes and says. STOP I INVITED THEM and that's how we fade to black. Interesting way to end the show now we know who's responsible for the ECW crew but something confuses me aren't Rhino, Raven and Stevie Richards all still under contract to TNA why would they need to be invited anywhere TNA is.

Good show again this week with some good matches including the BMI/MCMG ladder match and the Best of 5 Series get's started. The ECW Invasion of TNA is somewhat interesting to me at least because apparently they are not the they Abyss has been talking about for the last month.
