Our live coverage of Strikeforce: Fedor v. Rogers begins at 9 PM EST, 8 Central. When the show goes live you can hit F5 or refresh as often as you like for results.

AND NOW A CBS SPECIAL PRESENTATION - FEDOR EMELIANENKO VERSUS THE UNDEFEATED BRETT ROGERS. We open with a highlight reel of Strikeforce fights and knockouts set to dramatic music, all in glorious (and free) HD. We are joined by Gus Johnson (and his bad mustache) reminding us about tonight's main event, who throws to Mauro Ranallo. "I've followed Fedor's career for a long time. What makes him some interesting is he prefers to forego the modern trappings of society for a simple life." And of course, the third man on our announce team to the right of Gus is Frank Shamrock. His prediction is simple - Rogers can win on the feet, but Fedor needs to take him to the mat to win. Gus runs down the card - Fedor v. Rogers, Jake Shields v. Jason Miller, Gegard Mousasi v. Sokoudjou and Antonio Silva v. Fabricio Werdum.

* Fabricio Wersum v. Antonio Silva

Werdum is already in the cage as they throw up a graphic to let us know this fight is "coming up next." Silva makes his entrance a few seconds later, right before we go to a one minute commercial break, sponsored by EA Sports: MMA.

When we come back we're reminded of the Rules of Combat, including NO STRIKES TO THE GROIN. Thanks Mauro! Jimmy Lennon Jr. makes the introductions. In the blue corner, 12-4-1, fighting out of Marina Del Ray, California - Fabricio Ver-DOOOOOOOOOM. In the red corner, 13-1 with 9 KO's and 3 submissions, fighting out of Coconut Creek, Floria - Antonio 'Bigfoot' Silva. Here we go!

Mauro is already rolling five seconds in. "Unlike the Patterson film we actually caught Bigfoot on film!" BIGFOOT SILVA ROCKS HIM. Werdum grabs a leg and tries to hang on as we pass 1:10 in the fight. Silva lets him get up off his back and starts to close the distance again. We're nearing the halfway point of the round. Frank: "I can see Silva loading up every single time." Silva throws aside Werdum with ease and lets him get up off his back without even trying to get into the guard. Werdum gets underhooks with 100 sseconds but Silva punches out of it and Silva is blinking and backing up. WE GOT A SLOBBERKNOCKER. Werdum starts to throw spinning kicks and Silva just walks away like "fuck this shit." It looks like Werdum is gonna survive the last 20.. or maybe not! He gets hit with an elbow and some more big punches. Again Silva walks away and lets him stand back up. Easy 10-9 for Silva.

And we're back after a very brief commercial break for R2! Silva knocks him down with another left hook in the first ten seconds. Werdum's face looks a mess. Silva finally lets him grab a leg to hit a few hammerfists and Werdum transitions for BJJ but loses it at 3:20 left in the round and Silva eats a knee as they get back up. Werdum tries to throw low leg kicks to keep the distance. Fight slows down for a minute and the crowd is getting impatient as both men grapple along the cage. Todd Frederickson brings them back to center with under 2 minutes left. Single leg trip and Werdum ends up on top trying to pass guard again. Silva escapes again but Werdum keeps him on the ground until the bell. You might score that 10-9 for Werdum even though he couldn't really do shit to Silva once he got him down.

And we're back for R3. Silva is back to working boxing and striking from the feet. Werdum tries to close the distance and take him down 45 seconds in. Silva slips momentarily as the two break apart but Werdum doesn't pounce. Werdum threw a right hand as bait then got a takedown when Bigfoot blocked. Werdum takes his back and gets to the fence but Silva slips out before a RNC could be applied. Silva lands some big shots to the head at the halfway point. Werdum tries to hit a jumping knee from the muay thai clinch but Silva doesn't seem to be getting rocked. Werdum gets another takedown and takes Silva's back. If this fight goes to the judges it could go either way. Werdum tries to throw down some hammerfists with 20 seconds left. We go to the final bell with Silva still on his back. I think Werdum takes a split decision. JUDGES GIVE IT 29-28 TO WERDUM UNANIMOUSLY.

* Sokoudjou v. Gegard Mousasi

The 7-4 Sok is introduced first in the blue corner. The 26-2-1 Mousasi is next up in the red corner. It's noted he's the Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Champion even though the title's not on the line. Our referee in charge is David Smith. Could there be a more plain name than that?

We switched from a bell to a horn to open the first round. Maybe the bell broke? Krunchie and I are discussing that Mousasi should cut off Sok's dreadlocks and shave off Gus Johnson's mustache. That way he could change his name from The Dreamcatcher to The Barber. Sounds more menacing anyway. Sok is throwing lets of jabs early. Mousasi throws a high head kick that misses. Sok throws a few more head shots then backs away. Mousasi keeps landing low leg kicks. Sok takea a shot to the groin twice in about 20 seconds but each time the ref quickly restarts the fight. Sok hits a judo throw into a takedown with 1:40 left. Mousasi sweeps on a guillotine attempt and gets side control. Both men are up with 1:00 let but Sok's back on top and has a tight guillotine locked which he has to let go of for more strikes. Sok takes him down again and holds him there for a bit but Mousasi gets top right at the horn. Commercial.

Round two - Mousasi outstrikes him (at one point landing 23 of 32) but can't finish. He goes for an armbar but can't finish. Finally Mousasi really starts hammering Sok with about 105 seconds left and landing BIG hammerfists that go undefended and the ref has to finally step in and stop it. MOUSASI BY TKO IN R2. Jimmy Lennon Jr. will make it official momentarily. 3:43 in R2 as David Smith stops it due to strikes for the winner via TKO: Gegard Mousasi!

* Jason 'Mayhem' Miller v. Jake Shields (Strikeforce Middleweight Championship)

Miller strikes a pose in a white robe like he's being crucified, with his head leaned all the way back, then leans it forward to reveal his brand new red and black hair dye and bop to the cage to a techno electronic beat, dancing girls on either side of the ramp, just like his DREAM fights in Japan. One of the girls nearly clocks him in the face! The announcer crew says it truly is MILLER TIME on CBS. Shields comes straight down to the cage with no theatrics. Miller is in the blue corner, 22-6-1, HAILING FROM PARTS UNKNOWN (no shit) with a speciality of SLAPBOXING. In the red corner Shields is 23-4-1 with 3 KO's and 10 submissions, hailing from San Francisco, California. Our referee in charge is Big John McCarthy! LET'S GET IT ON!!!

Shields come out striking and shoots for a single leg takedown, getting it right away. Miller has his back to the cage 15 seconds into the fight. Shields uses his weight and position to block any attempt by Miller to stand up. Shields tries to take his back and pound on him but instead ends up in full mount with hooks in. Miller finally pops back up just under two minutes into the fight. Shields tries to shoot again but this time Miller sprawls, which works momentarily, but Shields changes position and pushes him down on his butt against the fence. We're halfway through R1 of a scheduled 5. Miller's back up again at 90 seconds to go and he SLAMS Shields to the mat with authority. Now it's Miller trying to work from the top. Miller tries to back away and come over the top with a punch but it turns into a scramble to the feet. Miler takes him back down again with 20 seconds to go and schoolyards him for a few punches to the face before the horn.

We're back for R2 and it takes a few seconds into the round before they shut off the music in the ground. Shields has a little blood coming out of his nose. Miller grabs Shields and pulls him down to the ground. Miller and Shields are in the MMA version of Twister 90 seconds in. Shields gets a warning for shots to the back of the head. Miller tries to jump up and Shields takes his back. Miller keeps moving to avoid any submission attempts and is nearly in a banana split (seriously, that's what it's called) before he moves again. If R1 belonged to Miller, almost all of R2 is Shields. Miller blocks another RNC attempt with a minute to go and gets back to his feet, then tries to comer over the top with strikes. Shields tries to set up an inside heel hook and Miller blocks it. We're off to R3!

Miller slams him down 10 seconds in. Shields wrestles him down 30 seconds in. Miller does a monkey roll to escape halfway through and his a spinning backfist as Shields gives chase! Miller keeps him pushed up against the fence but McCarthy calls for time to repair the tape job on each man's gloves. Shields pushes him down onto his butt again, Miller tries to wall walk, and the crowd unloads with boos as they want more action and less ground fighting. Shields has and gives up a guillotine as Miller gets back to his feet, but maintains a bodylock. Miller gets a reversal and is on Shields back with 30 seconds in the rond left. Miller tries to go behind for a rear naked choke, he's got it.... SHIELDS IS SAVED BY THE BELL!!!

And we're back for R4, a spot neither man has been in before. Miller comes out aggressive striking and Shields gets the single leg takedown 20 seconds in, which the crowd immediately boos. The crowd starts chanting for Miller as he tries to stand back up. McCarthy calls for more work at 3:15 left. The boos are REALLY getting loud now. McCarthy is leaning in and looking for either one to improve position, and he gets a big pop from the crowd when he stands them up at 2:37. Miller lands a big knee and some shots but Shields takes him down to prevent more muay thai style damage. Frank: "I hate to say it but Miller should have stuck to his slapboxing!" Shields starts trying to lock up the body position with a minute to go, but Miller slides them both off the cage by pushing off with his feet, and keeps using his monkey roll to not let Shields get a dominant position. We're off to the 5th and final round!

Both men box for the first 10 seconds, but when Shields shoots for a single leg the crowd almost immediately boos. Miller keeps his balance so Shields considers a guillotine but none is there. Both men scramble and Miller winds up standing again with his head in the fence and Shields trying to pull him back down again. McCarthy issues a mystery warning of "I'm not gonna tell you again" but we can't tell to WHO about WHAT. Shields gets a full mount again but Miller keeps on rolling. Shields bodylocks him and keeps trying to sink an arm under the chin. Miller reverses and pops out and momentarily has a guillotine but Shields has none of that. Shields takes his back again to more boos. Miller gets back up with 2 0 seconds left, Shields pulls him down. Miller gets up swinging for the fences with 10 seconds left, Shields tries to shoot one more time and can't get it before the horn. We'll get the decision after commercial.

BTW HDNet must be partnered up with Strikeforce for this show because we're getting promos for Inside MMA throughout the show and logos during the fights. Rosales 48-47, the other two judges score it 49-46 for the unanimous STRIKEFORCE MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION: JAKE SHIELDS who gets a huge chorus of boos. We immediately go to commercial because Fedor v. Rogers is up next! Shields will take his belt and go get stitches. Miller will go home & make love to a dimepiece and wake up fresh as a daisy. Who REALLY won? Props to both men for having the stamina to go the full five though.

* Fedor Emelianenko v. Brett 'The Grim' Rogers (Fight Night Main Event)

Fedor is taking the long walk backstage while Rogers is practicing his striking and muay thai in the lockerroom. We go back to break with a commercial for Borderlands. Brett Rogers is finally introduced to the live crowd at 11 PM EST. Fedor is described as "needing no introduction" but is given one as THE FORMER PRIDE CHAMPION and THE BADDEST MAN ON THE PLANET anyway. He gets a nice pop from the Chicago crowd as a result. Big John McCarthy is in charge for this fight too, which gets underway at 11:02 EST. LET'S GET IT ON!

Rogers is being cautious but he lands one strike and has already cut Fedor's nose. We're 45 seconds in and they're dancing. Fedor goes for a takedown but Rogers escapes and pushes Fedor back up against the fence at 1:05. Fedor's nose is definitely gushing blood from one jab. John issues a warning to the fighters to keep their fingers out of the fence. Then says "I'm not gonna tell you again" 1:40 in. Fedor finally shoves him away at the two minute mark. Fedor lands a HUGE right, Rogers survives it, but Fedor still manges to take him down to the ground and work from half guard. Rogers tries to reverse, Fedor gets a kimura, but Rogers shakes it off and winds up on top. FEDOR IS GETTING ROCKED. Fedor goes for an armbar but ROGERS GETS OUT. Fedor transitions again and has him on his back! 45 seconds to go and there's blood everywhere. Rogers gets a warning for shots to the back of the head as Fedor is over the top. Fedor finally gets away and Rogers kicks at the knees to keep Fedor away. He tries to leap in with a superman punch but Rogers blocks it with a forearm. ROGERS SURVIVES R1!!!

We immediately get a replay of the jab that busted Fedor's nose open and Fedor's crushing shots in response, then some ground action courtesy of McCarthy's ref cam. Rogers is now the first man to make the second round with Fedor since Mark Coleman in October 2006. The two dance around for the first 30 seconds and the crowd is chanting U-S-A having been won over by Rogers. Rogers blocks a takedown and gets his arms up to block a flurry of punches from Fedor. He gets the underhooks against the cage one minute into R2. They're moved back to center and Fedor lands THE PUNCH OF DOOM at 3:15 to go! IT'S OVER! FEDOR KNOCKS HIM OUT. Gus: "Brett Rogers, like so many in the past, wondering what happened." We get an over the top camera view of Rogers coming towards Fedor right as he threw that big right - just the perfect storm of range and timing. Rogers was throwing a shot at the same time but Fedor was just a second quicker.

OFFICIAL TIME OF 1:48 IN R2 BEFORE JOHN MCCARTHY STOPS THE FIGHT DUE TO TKO FOR THE ONE AND ONLY FEDOR EMELIANENKO! The translator asks him how hard the fight was when he got hit in the nose in the first round, and he says he was able to handle it, "thanks bud." He's asked what it was like to fight a bigger and heavier man, and Fedor says he just watched him in the first round and waited to find a weak link. Gus asks him what that weak link was. The translator says no doubt Brett is a great fighter but I watched his legs and he found a moment of weak space in the leg play. He's asked about Rogers as a future opponent. "If Brett would like to have a rematch, why not, thank you very much." In Russian Fedor thanks all of the fans who came to support him here, and in his country, and says it's a victory for all of them. Gus pulls Brett aside for a question or two. "I hate it. I'm coming back stronger. I'm so heated I can't put it into words. I will gladly take that rematch!" Rogers tries to leave, Gus pulls him back in. "What I saw was me doubting myself a little bit. I should have thrown my hands a lot more, and that's why I failed today. When I come back please believe I'ma throw 'em!" We see one more replay of the KO and that'll do it for Strikeforce on CBS!
