05/10/08: ROH Hammerstein Ballroom Results

Here are tonight's ROH results, courtesy of MGH at the Wrestlecrap.com Forums.

Note: ROH will be returning to the Hammerstein Ballroom on August 2nd, 2008.

1) FIP World Heavyweight Championship: Roderick Strong defeats Erick Stevens and Go Shiozaki to retain the FIP World Championship in what was described as a chop fest with a roll up on Stevens after Stevens crushed Shiozaki with a Doctor Bomb.

2) Kevin Steen & El Generico defeat Rocky Romero & Davey Richards with a Package Piledriver/Brainbuster combination on Davey in a great match. Started off slow but really picked up.

3) Delirious & Pelle Primeau defeat Chris Hero & Brent Albright and Jack Evans & Jigsaw when Delirious hit Hero with the Chemical Imbalance. Delirious sprayed mist in Albright's eyes and Albright accidentally gave Hero a half nelson suplex leading to the finish.

After the match Larry Sweeney demanded that Albright redeem himself and beat up Dempsey. Albright teased striking Dempsey, then attacked SNS Inc. instead.

Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley are announced for the August 2nd return to the Hammerstein.

4) Bryan Danielson defeats Naomichi Marufuji with Cattle Mutilation in what was described as a somewhat disappointing match. Some dumbass fans were trying to get themselves over during this one to the point where it was noticeable.

~Daizee Haze is out now. Delirious comes out wearing a dress shirt and tie and asks Haze out on a date! Rhett Titus is out to interrupt. Funny stuff here.

5) Takeshi Morishima defeats The Necro Butcher in a very disappointing match. Not even a stiff contest. Morishima pinned Necro with the Backdrop Driver.

6) ROH World Tag Team Championships: Jay Briscoe & Austin Aries defeat Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black with a Doomsday Device. Necro Butcher tried to get involved, then Mark Briscoe appeared and interjected himself in to the equation.

SIDE NOTE: The crowd is full of people trying to get themselves over and crapping on a ton of stuff.

7) ROH World Championship: Nigel McGuinness defeats Claudio Castagnoli with the London Dungeon in a great main event. Match started off slowly and picked up late.
