-Aries cuts a promo to start the show. Aries uses 9/11 as a reason why New Yorkers aren't tough. He's here for one reason, to win the title.
-The Young Bucks v Kenny King and Rhett Titus: Bucks win with a Samoan Front Slam/Swanton/Moonsault Combo on Titus. Bucks got the please come back chants.
-Jimmy Rave v Necro Butcher: Rave is covered in TP. They fight around ringside before the bell rings. Not a match yet... Apparently, Guiseppi missed the bell for both the opening match and this one. Back in the ring, Rave attacks Necro's knee. Necro wins with a small package while Rave has the Heel Hook locked in. Post match, The Embassy attacks and attempts to break Necro's leg, at the knee. Cabana makes the save.
-Ric Flair promo: Inital cheers. He did the usual by putting over the boys and such. He promised something special will happen tonight, meaning the title match.
-Sonjay Dutt v Roderick Strong: Dutt is wearing a Do-Rag for the match. Dutt does a Flair Strut as well as HHH, Batista, and Austin taunts during the match. Strong wins with gutbuster/Backbreaker/Gibson Driver Combo. "Boarderline 4 Star match"
-Tyler Black v Jimmy Jacobs "1st Blood" match: big prematch brawl. Jimmy with a screwdriver. Bell rings, Tyler bleeds. Match over in a minute. Post match, Tyler snaps on Ref, Jimmy, and Dempsey who came out. Tyler is cashing in TONIGHT. He demands to be put in the title match tonight. His words were "if Cary has the guts then he's cashing in tonight". Not an exact quote but along those lines.
-Intermission: Bret Hart announced for next NYC show
-Bryan Danielson v Colt Cabana v D Lo Brown v Claudio Castagnoli: CC caught Cabana during a Flying A$$hole spot and turned it into a German. Cabana wins with the Billy Goat's Curse on D Lo.
-The American Wolves v Kevin Steen and El Generico "Submission Match": For no good reason, Davey kicked a student sitting in the corner chairs around ringside. Davey hits a Shooting Star from the top rope to the outside on all 3. Both Steen and Generico had Sharpshooters on the Wolves, they barely escaped. Generico had Eddie up for Top Rope Brainbuster, but Davey hit him in the knee with a Belt. Generico taps to Single Leg Boston Crab. Post Match, Steen cuts a promo saying they "won't stop climbing the ladder until they are once again ROH Tag Team Champs."
-Jay Briscoe v (Lil') Guido Maritato: Guido didn't get in very much offense, but looked good out there. Jay wins with a JayDriller.
-Tyler Black v Austin Aries v Jerry Lynn: 60min time limit. Aries comes to the ring with Flairs music and wearing a pink Flair robe. He grabs a mic saying Flair will NOT be the special enforcer due to circumstances beyond ROHs control.* Nigel comes out wearing a ref shirt and announces he will be the ringside announcer. The crowd threw garbage into the ring. Tyler pins Lynn with God's Last Gift and it's down to Tyler v Aries. Guaranted new world champ! Aries with a kick to the head followed by a Brainbuster. Austin Aries becomes the first ever 2-time ROH world champ!

PWInsider regarding the Flair situation:
Ric Flair was originally advertised as the special guest referee for tonight's ROH title bout in New York City. With his return to World Wrestling Entertainment, Flair pulled out of his role as ROH Ambassador and shortly after, ROH announced that Flair would instead be an out of the ring enforcer. That change was made at Flair's request.
Tonight, Ric Flair appeared as scheduled for a pre-show autograph session and cut a promo mid-way through the event at the Hammerstein Ballroom. The promo started with Flair putting over the excitement of the ROH title bout and then turned into his usual spiel, flirting with women at ringside and pulling out his catchphrases.
Immediately after the promo, Flair packed his bag, left the Arena and got into a rental car, leaving the event. The departure caught ROH off guard, since as of this afternoon, Flair had no issue with what was scheduled. Several ROH officials, including Adam Pearce, came to the front of the venue trying to catch Flair, but were too late.
According to several different sources, backstage at the event, when Flair was given several spots to do in the match, he responded that he was only there to do his promo and sign autographs and that's what he would be doing. Flair also turned down doing the scheduled appearance because HDNet had cameras on hand to shoot footage (I'm assuming of the title change, although they were also filming the opening bout) and he didn't want to appear on ROH Television.
During the ROH title bout, Austin Aries came out to Flair's music to get heel heat. He then announced that "due to circumstances beyond ROH's control", Ric Flair wouldn't appear as the enforcer. Aries did so in a way to get heat, which led to Nigel McGuinness coming out as the Enforcer. McGuinness ended up doing several spots with Aries, both of which were built around a figure four, so it was apparent those were the spots Flair declined to do during the bout.
ROH has Flair scheduled for three more appearances in the next month.
